Riptide notes
Long Island Sound, not the ocean — no surf and no rip current to speak of. The town publishes no water-safety notice for this beach.
Best conditions
Faces north off Route 48, so a NW blow puts chop straight onto it and a south wind leaves it glassy. Sunset is over the Sound.
