The dockside bar and grill beside Island Boatyard on West Neck Creek, and the reason to come is the Shipwreck: a twin-masted 1930s vessel that worked New England and then dredged oysters and clams in the Great South Bay, retired onto the patio and fitted out with a full bar. It is the island's live-music room for the season. Boats tie up, the kitchen runs lunch and dinner every day, and the Shipwreck keeps its own hours — from 5 PM Tuesday to Friday, from noon at the weekend, dark on Mondays.
