The Farmstand at Sylvester Manor
The only farm stand on Shelter Island, and it is a good one. Manor-grown produce, eggs, pork and bouquets sit alongside Balsam Farms, Catapano Dairy, Milk Pail and Wickham's — four operators this guide already lists, ferried over from the forks. Chef Susan Strauss turns the surplus into galettes, quiches and lasagna under the Manor Made label.
⭐ Is it worth it? Worth the ferry on its own. Come with a cooler and buy the pork.

At Windmill Field, just east of the main entrance. The 236-acre Manor has farmed 60 of those acres since 2008; trails and grounds are open March–October, sunrise to sunset.
