Do I need to own a horse?
Every barn is tagged with one of five access tiers. Short of owning, a Half-lease splits a horse with another rider; a Full-lease gives you the horse six days a week; Full-board or Pasture-board keeps your own horse on-site. Disciplines range from Hunter-jumper and Dressage to Equitation.
- Drop-in — no horse neededPublic trail rides, beach rides, walk-ins welcome. Pay per ride. Beginners OK.
- Lessons — no horse neededPay per lesson, instructor provides the horse, no commitment, all levels.
- Lease / half-lease — no horse neededMulti-month commitment, ride a barn horse on a schedule, costs less than ownership.
- Boarding — must own a horseFacility boards your horse. No school horses, no lessons for non-boarders.
