Licensed, and how to check
Adult-use cannabis is legal in New York for adults 21+. Unlicensed storefronts can look legitimate. Every shop below appears in the state licence registry; tap its licence number for the official listing.
Licensed adult-use dispensaries serving the East End
An adult-use licence permits products up to 10mg THC per serving. All licences below are Active with the Office of Cannabis Management.
Hemp shops are not dispensaries
New York separately licenses cannabinoid hemp retailers (Part 114). They may legally sell hemp-derived THC capped at 0.5mg per serving—one twentieth of an adult-use dispensary serving. Both kinds of shop are legal but not interchangeable; packaging may not make the distinction obvious.

How to spot a legal dispensary
Licensed dispensaries display a state-issued QR code near the entrance. New York lists legal shops in its official dispensary directory and publishes licence registers on data.ny.gov.
A shop absent from both lists is not licensed, whatever its sign says.
