The Creeks

A 57-acre Georgica Pond estate, the Mediterranean villa built in 1899 for the artist Albert Herter by Grosvenor Atterbury, who also designed the old Parrish Art Museum. Later home to the artist Alfonso Ossorio and Ted Dragon, and a haunt of Pollock, Krasner and Rothko. Ronald Perelman bought it from Dragon in 1993 for $12.5 million and has since spent years before East Hampton Village boards seeking to legalise buildings raised without permits.
