Dance floors, DJs, dives, and the vineyard Friday night
Dancing
Honestly, this is not Manhattan — no Marquee, no Lavo, no Tao. What you get: hotel-basement DJ pop-ups, dive bars with dance floors, vineyard Friday DJ nights, and the Sunday Hampton Bays ritual.
Late-night dance floors
After midnight, this is where the room moves
Southampton Social Club, 75 Main, and Memory Motel run the closest thing the Hamptons has to a club night. Expect a 21+ door, a cover after 11pm, and a line that grows with the season.
Live music you can dance to
Talkhouse, Surf Lodge, Canoe Place
These rooms book real touring acts and the floor in front of the stage is fair game.
Vineyard DJ nights
Friday wine stand, sunset, decks spinning
The South Fork’s vineyards run sunset DJ nights through the season.
Sunday institutions
The Barnyard, Ruschmeyer’s, the day-into-night ritual
Sunday afternoon is its own East End nightlife slot. The Barnyard in Hampton Bays opens Sundays from 2pm; summer 2026 is its last. Ruschmeyer’s Magic Garden in Montauk is the indie version.
