Basketball Pickup
Every run from East Hampton to Montauk. Indoor leagues, outdoor courts, and the schedules that matter.
Indoor Runs & Leagues
YMCA East Hampton RECenter Open Gym
Indoor2 Gingerbread Ln, East Hampton
Run by the YMCA of Long Island, not the Town. The branch page lists Open Gym as a program but posts no schedule for it — the only schedules the Y publishes online are group fitness and the pool, and Open Gym slots live inside the GroupEXPro booking app. Call 631-329-6884 before you drive out.
Southampton Youth Services Basketball Clinics
Indoor1370A Majors Path, Southampton
Youth only. The Majors Path gym is Southampton Youth Services, a private nonprofit, not the Town Youth Bureau (that office is 20 miles west at 655 Flanders Rd). SYS publishes no adult pickup run: its basketball is these Saturday clinics plus grades 3–8 winter and summer leagues. Call 631-287-1511.
Montauk Playhouse High School & Adult Basketball
Indoor240 Edgemere St, Montauk
Five nights a week on the Town of East Hampton's July 2026 gymnasium schedule, which is the run to build a trip around. Open gym fills the gaps: weekday mornings from 8am, weekday mid-afternoons, and 2:45pm–6:45pm Sat and 1:15pm–4:45pm Sun with no pickleball. Sign up in the lobby; under-15s need an adult.
East Hampton Town Men's Summer Basketball
Indoor2 Long Lane, East Hampton
The Town of East Hampton's own summer run, on the Recreation Superintendent's signed flyer. Register online at ehamptonny.gov. The flyer dates the season July 29–August 20; the Town calendar lists sessions from July 13, so check the calendar for the night you want.
Outdoor Courts
Pierson High School Outdoor Courts
Outdoor200 Jermain Ave, Sag Harbor
Outdoor court on the Pierson Middle-High School grounds. This is Sag Harbor school district property, not a Town park — nobody posts community hours for it, so school use takes priority and you may get moved off.
Mashashimuet Park Courts
OutdoorMain St at Jermain Ave, Sag Harbor
Outdoor court in the Sag Harbor park, over by the tennis courts and ballfields. Mashashimuet Park is run by a private trust rather than the Village or the Town, and it has no website and no posted hours.
Herrick Park Court
OutdoorNewtown Lane, East Hampton
In the heart of East Hampton village. The Village moved the court to a different corner of the park during the Phase 1A renovation, now complete, to make room for a full-size football field, so it is not where an older map will put you.
