Hallock State Park Preserve
The quietest IBA on the North Fork. A working farm wraps the preserve, and the hedge-row habitat supports bluebirds, kestrels, and a reliable Bobolink pair into July.

State park preserve on the Long Island Sound. Trails lead through farmland, young woods, and down to a bluff-backed beach. Park headquarters and trail map at the Sound Avenue entrance.
