Horton Point Lighthouse

Southold · 1857

An attempt to capture the NRHP-listed Horton Point Lighthouse along with the accompanying "Tale of the Whale" shed off the southern coast of the Long Island Sound at the north end of Lighthouse Road in Southold, New York.

Sits on a bluff above Long Island Sound. The museum in the keeper's cottage is small but well-curated on Southold maritime history. The beach below is one of the quieter ones on the North Fork.
