Hamptons Verified

The badge

Verified by Hamptons Verified

If we list your venue and we have checked it, you may put this badge on your own website. Free, forever, with nothing to sign.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no fee, no invoice and no renewal.

Being listed is editorial, and it is free

No venue pays to appear here. Being listed, and being checked, are editorial decisions made by the editor. Neither is for sale.

The only thing we sell is a clearly labelled Featured placement. Buying one never changes what we write about you, and never earns a badge.

A partner and a venue that has never spoken to us get the same badge, on the same terms, from the same file.

The full policy: editorial independence. What is actually sold: advertise.

How to add it

Paste this into your site and swap YOUR-PAGE for the path of your own page on this site.

<a href="https://hamptonsverified.com/YOUR-PAGE">
  <img src="https://hamptonsverified.com/badge/verified.svg"
       alt="Verified by Hamptons Verified" width="220" height="64">
</a>

Your path is whatever follows the domain in your listing’s address, for example restaurants/nick-and-tonis.

Easier: open your own page on this site and look for “Own this business?” near the bottom. It holds the snippet already filled in for you.

Can’t find your page, or want the badge as an image file for a window sticker? Ask us.

The one rule

The badge must link to your page here, so anyone can click it and read what we actually wrote about you, including the parts you would not have chosen.

That is the whole condition. A badge that links nowhere is a graphic; a badge that links to the write-up is a claim a reader can check.

Why there is no date on it

Everything here is re-checked on a schedule, so a stamped date on a sticker would only ever be older than the listing itself.

The badge therefore says one thing, and links to the page where the sources live. That page is the record, not the badge.

If something is wrong

Wrong hours, wrong name, a write-up you think is unfair — tell us and we will re-check it. Corrections are free too, and they are not a negotiation about a placement.
