EH Village Resident Beach Permit
Free for village residents; $750 for a 2026 full-season non-resident permitEligibility: Village property owners and year-round residential tenants (Village Code 267-5C(1)(b)). Non-residents buy online only: $750 full season (3,100 permits, on sale from 2 February 2026), or monthly at $250 for May 15-Jun 30, $300 for July and $300 for Aug 1-Sep 15 (500 per month). Non-transferable and non-refundable; a 6% credit card fee applies. Daily non-resident permits are DIGITAL and bought through ParkMobile, linked to your licence plate: Main Beach Lot 2 is zone 59204 and Two Mile Hollow is zone 59205, $50/day, Monday–Thursday indefinitely with Friday–Sunday and holidays at the Beach Manager's discretion. Pay only after you have parked — no prepayment, no refunds. ENFORCEMENT IS BY LICENCE-PLATE SCANNER, not a booth attendant, so there is nobody to wait out. The widely repeated claim that village beach parking is free after 6:00 PM is NOT confirmed on the Village's own pages: the only hours statement they publish is that no vehicles are permitted ON the beaches 9:00 AM–6:00 PM from 15 May to 15 September, which is the driving-on-sand rule, not the car park. Treat evening parking as unconfirmed and pay the zone.

What you'll need to bring
The clerk's office has not published its document list for this one. Call the number above before you go.
Or skip it. Main Beach is 18 min walk from East Hampton LIRR / Hampton Jitney stop, and the permit only buys you the parking lot.
Rules change mid-season and the clerk is the only one who can tell you today’s answer — call before you go. Official source ↗
